2flowergirls #5 – peonies

Hello dear readers,
Today is the big day for the start of #2flowergirls in June with madame love and glomerylane.
The flower of the month is the peony and I am very much looking forward to seeing your creations and see which variety you found. There are more the 200 varieties of peonies, from white to purple, from yellow to light pink.
Peonies are called pivoines in French and Pfingstrosen in German (Pentecost) as they usually bloom at that time of year and are many people’s favorite flowers. No wonder, they just look gorgeous in the garden, in an exuberant bouquet and are a classic for weddings. So let’s the peonie’s explosion start!
Please post a link to your blogpost in the comment field underneath or on Inga’s blog and we will post your photos on our peony pinterest board. For those who don’t have a blog or don’t want to blog about it, you can just post a picture on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #2flowergirls or send us your peonies per email.

I hope you will like my pictures. I tried to show the variety as much as possible and found 6 different ones from 3 different flower shops yesterday, and displayed them in single vases.

Gar kein Problem, solange, die Fotos bei Inga gespotet sind.
Deine Bilder sind wieder ganz toll. Viele liebe Grüße

    1. Oh Katharina,
Your pictures are so pretty as usual!
I know the feeling of posting your wedding pics online for the first time. I posted mine on Susanne (http://www.lieschen-heiratet.de/) for the first time a couple of months ago. I would also have loved a peonies bouquet for my wedding, but I got married in October…Your bouquet was very pretty!
      see you soon

  1. My shiny new blog has a peony post this week!
The pink peonies are from my garden and the white from a friend who’s garden I’m care taking for the next few weeks. The container for the arrangement was something special I’ve been saving for peony bloom time this year. Peonies are an absolute favorite of mine and I’m happy to share mine with you here!

    1. Danke meine Liebe! leider kommen meine Blumen aus dem Blumenladen und nicht aus dem Garten! Ich würde auch gern in der Nähe von meiner Mamas Garten leben. Geniess es.
      Viele liebe Grüße

  2. Hello Elodie! Love your idea to display as many varieties as you could find! The pictures are so délicate… I love them! As promised, i played around with peonies as well… the ones from my garden, i think they are Walter Faxon… I could not resist to make a huge bouquet, as big as my love for peonies. Hope you’ll like it! 🙂

    1. Dear Laetitia,
I am completely in love with your bouquet! I think it’s the first time I see peonies with cherries. I find wide compositions displayed in a Medicis vase are so elegant!

    1. Meine Liebe, deine Arrangements sind wie immer wunderschön. Ich bereue es ein wenig dass Ich bei The Hive das Styling Workshop nicht mitgemacht habe 😉
      viele liebe Grüße

    1. Thanks Corinne! Your photos are just stunning! I am in love with the dark background and the not-so-romantic touch of it. The table is also gorgeous. Thanks!

    1. Hallo meine Liebe!
      Elodie
